Ex-CFO of Rio Tinto Indonesia joins AWR Lloyd
Herwan Ng, the CFO of Rio Tinto Indonesia until January 2019, has joined AWR Lloyd as ‘Managing Director – Indonesia’ to lead the expansion of the firm’s business in Indonesia and to develop AWR Lloyd’s mining sector business globally. Herwan was with Rio Tinto for 14 years and before that was with PWC for 10 years. Rio Tinto has recently sold its stake in the Freeport-operated Grasberg mine for US$3.5 billion to Inalum, the state-owned Indonesian mining sector holding company.
Alex Wood, CEO of AWR Lloyd, welcomed Herwan to the firm: “I am very excited to have Pak Herwan on board. As a specialist energy, resources and infrastructure advisory firm focused on Asia, it goes without saying that Indonesia must represent a priority focus for AWR Lloyd. The links between AWR Lloyd and Indonesia go back to our firm’s roots in the 1990s”
