AWR Lloyd appoints new managing director for CLMV

AWR Lloyd is pleased to announce the appointment of Thuong Thi Thu Hanh as Managing Director – Greater Mekong (ex-Thailand) and as head of AWR Lloyd’s Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh City starting 1st September 2015.

Alex Wood, Vice Chairman of AWR Lloyd commented: “She has been a friend of the firm for several years already – and so is already very familiar with our services and strategy. She brings over 15 years’ experience in investment banking and commercial banking in Vietnam. She has special expertise in the energy sectors and a good network of relationships at the Petrovietnam group. She will also help the AWR Lloyd group develop its business in the other ‘CLMV’ countries: Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar”.

Ms Hanh was previously with Petrovietnam Securities where she was Deputy Director for M&A 2011-2015. Prior to that she was at ACB Securities (underwriting and M&A) 2008-11 and BIDV (banking and corporate planning) 2001-08. She has an MBA from ULB in Belgium and degrees in accounting, finance, business and economics from universities in Holland and Vietnam.
